Eren in India

A SOLID PARTNERSHIP FOR GREAT AMBITIONS

India is now one of the most dynamic countries in the renewable energy sector: while electricity production should double by 2035[1] to meet increasing energy requirements, the government has chosen to promote ambitious renewable energies objectives (15% by 2020), put in place policy incentives and establish a stable regulatory system.

In this context, EREN partenered with EDF Energies Nouvelles in a joint venture incorporated in India and run by a local management team.

Drawing on their teams in the field, EREN and its partner aim to develop 1 GW of solar projects in the coming years. A photovoltaic plant of 120MWp is already in operation in the state of Rajasthan. EREN is also building three new power plants in the State of Uttarakhandet and considers participating in the next national and regional tenders.
